Our client, a leading global financial information services company, is currently looking for an Accounts Payable / Receivables Manager to head their busy team. With a client base including high profile organisations in the financial arena, you will hit the ground running and have the opportunity to further develop your existing skills in a fast paced environment.
Position summary:
My client is seeking a team leader with excellent sales and purchase ledger skills to join the UK finance team. The successful applicant will be an organised, hard working, friendly and confident individual, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to fit into the company culture.
Main Role and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the timely review of customer legal contracts and approval, rejection, and checking of contracts to CRM system
- Ensure the sales contracts ledger is updated for new client contracts and contract amendments
- Ensure new customers are created on finance system when required
- Ensure the commercial contract review process is undertaken and documented, to provide a high quality service to clients and accurate sales invoicing
- Ensure that sales invoices are issued to customers in weekly batches, and reports on any exceptions are provided to the financial controller
- Responsible for responding to credit controllers’ queries, taking action where necessary
- Responsible for all aspects of purchase ledgers
- Manage monthly payment lists
- Manage the control process over new supplier set ups
- Ensure period end routines are completed including receivables, payables and bank reconciliations
Experience required:
- Experience in a similar accounts receivable / accounts payable Managerial role
- Ideally solid systems knowledge including SAP, Excel and Word
- Outstanding commercial knowledge and awareness
- Prior management experience essential
- Ability to work effectively towards deadlines and self prioritise
- Diligence, integrity, confidence
- Strong team mentality essential
- Prior Legal Contracts experience
