Learning Support Assistant

A lively, inner city Primary school in South East London is currently looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their school immediately.

This position will be for 5 days per week, and will continue for at least 1 term, but has the potential to continue for the rest of the year. The role involves working with key EBD pupils across the Key Stage 2 years and relevant experience of this type of special needs would be seen as extremely favourable.

The school itself educates children in the age range of 3 to 11 years. They enrol children from a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds, and as such there is a high number of EAL children so experience of working with EAL children would also be advantageous.

The successful applicant must be able to commit to the school until at least Christmas. However, it would be preferable for them to employ someone who would be able to commit for the rest of the year if needs be. They are looking for someone who really enjoys working with children, especially those with Special Needs.

- You must have good spoken English;
- You must have a minimum of 6 months child related experience;
- Your CV must cover the last 5 years employment history and any employment breaks must be explained;
- You need to supply two recent professional references, relating to your work with children;
