Maths needed for Birmingham school!

A long term placement has arisen in Birmingham for a Mathematics Teacher to work for one term in an improving school. The placement begins ASAP and the suitable candidate will need to be able to teach Key Stages 4 & 5. It would be an advantage to have a mathematics degree and/or a military background.

The school is a larger than average comprehensive school based in Birmingham. The students are predominantly boys from ethnic minorities. The school has been rated as good by OFSTED, with a good capacity for sustained improvement.

The ideal candidate will need to be able to communicate well with students and teach effectively. You will have good subject knowledge as well as good classroom management. You must have the ability to inspire as well as manage the students.

In addition to your normal duties, you will be expected to take part in extracurricular activities.

REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidates will be confident and have a positive approach, as well as having relevant teaching qualifications, the right to work in the UK, 2 professional teaching references from within the last 2 years and a valid CRB.
