An organisation based in Barnet is recruiting for an experienced teacher to work 1:1 with Special Needs students.

This organisation caters for secondary aged students, who have a range of Special Needs and are currently out of mainstream education. Reasons for absence from a mainstream setting can range from being excluded to illnesses such as depression and School Phobia. Teaching sessions can take place at a number of establishments within the borough.

To qualify for this role it is imperative you have a strong grasp of the national curriculum as you will be supporting students with all core subjects, however they are looking for a strong science specialist. You will be required to complete all planning and marking. Many of the students can present challenging behaviours; therefore you must have strong behaviour management skills. You will be working with students working at low to mid P levels, making this a very challenging role but truly rewarding for the right person with the right skill set.
